We have a winner

Congratulations to Terry Stoten, who carried off the Print of the Year trophy for 2011 with his "Trafalgar Fountain", which also won the newly-inaugurated Brzostowski Cup at our annual Exhibition back in the summer. Thanks to Mike Fuller for his inciteful and educational commentary on our prints.

Print of the Year Competition 2011

Our last photograph viewing opportunity for 2011 will be tomorrow night at 8pm in the hall to the rear of St Paul's Church, Winchmore Hill, N21. Members have chosen their favourites among the prints they have entered into club competitions this year, and judge Mike Fuller will endeavour to pick one to be our Print of the Year.

If you are interested in becoming a member and would like to see our work and experience a typical club evening, please drop in at 8pm. There is no charge and this will be an excellent opportunity to catch a year's worth of our work in one evening.

8-way Print Battle and Ron Harvey Trophy

Southgate is pleased to have come second among eight of our local photographic clubs in the annual Print Battle, which we hosted this year on November 15th. Dr Robert Matthie FRPS DPAGB did a great job of judging and we were delighted to welcome many visitors from the other clubs.

Southgate also came third in the 15th Annual Ron Harvey Trophy for landscape photography, hosted as always by Potters Bar Camera Club.

PDI of the Year competition results

Congratulations to Eileen Bennett ARPS DPAGB for "Pointing Stump" which was awarded PDI of the year by judge Naomi Saul ARPS EFIAP DPAGB APAGB on 8th November.
